Fiber pad/spray extraction (combination)

Definition: The combination of fiber pad/spray extraction is one of the cleaning methods for floor cleaning. In the first stage, the textile floor covering is only pre-sprayed with a surfactant-free cleaning solution. In the second stage, the textile flooring is processed using a single-disc machine with a fiber pad. This is followed by a thorough spray extraction with clear water and a final treatment by the single-disc machine with fiber and yarn pad. This provides
a) a very good cleaning result,

b) No re-soiling, as cleaning is carried out with surfactant-free cleaning agents,

c) no restriction of the factory impregnation,

d) shorter drying times than with spray extraction or combination shampooing/spray extraction.

Aim/result: Surface free of adhering dirt that has penetrated the pile layer (pile) as well as dust and fluff.

Damp cleaning

Definition: Damp cleaning is a method of cleaning equipment and furnishings. Loose and slightly adhering dirt is removed from the object manually using a wet, heavily soaked sponge cloth or other cleaning textiles.

Objective/result: Object/surface is free of traces of handling, dust and streaks.

Damp wipe

Definition: Damp mopping is a cleaning method for cleaning floors. Dust-binding mopping in one work step with damp or prepared cleaning textiles to remove loose fine dirt (dust, fluff) and, to a lesser extent, coarse dirt (balls of paper, paper cups, cigarette butts, etc.) and subsequent collection of the coarse dirt in a container. The prerequisite for using the damp mopping method is smooth floor coverings, e.g. linoleum, PVC, coverings treated with a suitable care film, sealed wooden floors, polished stone floors, etc..

Target/result: Surface is free of coarse dirt and fine dirt (dust, fluff). Adhering dirt (drink stains, road grime, heel marks) may still be present on the surface.

Stain removal, e.g. for special cleaning

Definition: Stain removal, e.g. for special cleaning, is a cleaning method for cleaning floors. This refers to stains that can be removed with commercially available stain removal agents. Stains are to be treated specifically according to the respective state of the art. Treated stain areas must be treated in such a way that resoiling by residual substances is ruled out (thorough rinsing). Stain removal does not replace basic cleaning at certain intervals. Stain removal is carried out as a special cleaning service and is charged at the appropriate hourly rate.

Aim/result: Surface is free of adhering dirt that has penetrated the pile.

Yarn pad/fiber pad cleaning

Definition: Yarn pad/fiber pad cleaning is a cleaning method for floor cleaning. It is a method for intermediate cleaning of textile floor coverings. After spraying on a water or surfactant-free cleaning chemical, the floor is treated with special yarn pads (fiber pads) using a single-disc machine. This means

a) it is well suited for moisture-sensitive floor coverings,

b) provides a good cleaning result,

c) no resoiling,

d) no restriction of the factory impregnation,

e) short drying time

Aim/result: Compare with carpet cleaning powder

Remove handle marks/splashes/stains

Definition: The removal of traces of handling, splashes and stains is part of the methods used to clean equipment and furnishings. Traces of handling, splashes or stains are removed from the object selectively and specifically by damp or wet cleaning - followed by drying or polishing if necessary.

Objective/result: The object/surface is free of traces of handling, splashes and stains. If necessary, the object/surface must no longer be damp and must be polished.

Basic care/care

Definition: Basic care is one of the types of cleaning. During initial or basic care, care products are applied to surfaces to protect them from mechanical stress (value retention) and facilitate subsequent maintenance cleaning. The initial or basic care requires a construction cleaning or basic cleaning. It should be possible to remove worn care product films at a later date.

Objective/result: Uniform appearance of the maintenance film, no undesirable disadvantages in terms of appearance and slip resistance of the maintenance film during use.

Basic cleaning/intensive cleaning

Definition: Basic cleaning/intensive cleaning are part of the cleaning types. Adhering dirt and/or worn care film or other residues that impair the appearance of the surface are removed. Basic cleaning is generally only carried out at longer intervals. The timing can be contractually agreed or specified as a special cleaning.

Objective/result: Surfaces are free of adhering dirt or worn care films or other residues; furthermore, surfaces are free of streaks and stains, as far as this is possible according to the state of the art.
